- I'm a lyricist looking for musicians to write music to my lyrics.
Hi there!
I've been writing lyrics since before I can remember! Mostly it starts off as poetry and catharsis, but I am very much inspired by melody. Whatever a melody evokes in me is usually what I write. Base melodies also inspire me to create vocal arrangements and harmonies, which is why I would rather collaborate with composers.
I have had success in the UK Songwriting Competition over the years, which I'm very proud of. I've never had an entry that wasn't commended, and have also had a few semi-finalist entries as well!
I have hundreds of sets of lyrics that could be put to music, some of which have basic melodies, but need much more work, and I'm also excited about taking completed melodies and over-laying lyrics to them.
I love powerful music - I'm a ballad fan, and also like the drama of music - I like songs to build. I also love when music is uplifting. I'd say my tastes are more Pop/dance/vocal, and certainly more mainstream, but I don't shy away from a challenge and would be up for trying out just about anything! Let's see what your melodies inspire in me!
A bit about me personally - I live in North West UK, I love meeting and working with new people. I do think the chemistry needs to be right, so I would recommend we meet via Zoom or for a coffee, learn a bit about each other and see what the chemistry feels like! I'm looking for Eltons to my Bernie - what do you think?
