Perhaps, My Dear Copyright © 2021 by Kennan Zishka It’s a cold day outside Rain on the brink of snow It seems I’ve lost my way To everything I know Perhaps with another year I’ll forget about the time, my dear All of the days All of the ways That our laughter disappeared Walking now for hours My feet are cold and wet Neon signs along the way Seem to spell out my regret Perhaps with another tear I’ll forget about the hurt, my dear All of the pain All of the rain On days that should have been clear A place I’ve got to find somewhere To drown my sorrow I’ll stay there As long as it takes The clouds to leave tomorrow It’s a cold day outside Rain on the brink of snow All the faces are strangers There’s no one that I know Perhaps with another beer I’ll forget all about you, my dear All of your charms There in your arms Right now I wish were here
