Kallan Livesey

I'm Kallan Livesey,

I'm originally from Blackpool, I've been a musician all my life, I started playing piano and keyboard when I was very young and these are my earliest memories of playing something tangible on an instrument, my nan was a talented pianist and taught me hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and that gave me the bug. I had piano lessons up until the age of 5. As a child I had a desire to play the drums to be different to everyone that wanted to learn guitar which I learnt through private lessons from the age of 6 until the age of 9, however during this time I picked up a guitar at the age of 7 and instantly grew an attachment to the instrument, it's been my creative tool ever since... Eventually at the age of 15 I ended up surpassing grade 8 playing guitar and earned myself the right to teach other people to play guitar and read music.

I played live in many cover bands as a backup guitarist on call as well as a band with friends whilst living in Blackpool called The Dots until I was 19, I then attended BIMM University on a music performance course whilst playing guitar at multiple studios in Manchester as a sesssion musician. Giving up Uni was tough as ther were health problems in my family, after that I started writing my own melodies and lyrics. I grew creatively and have a bank of at least 30 mostly done songs with lyrics to match ten of them.

The music I play can be described as Indie/Alternative, with elements of blues and bedroom pop, I base my melodies around the Riffs and Bass lines that I write on guitar/bass respectively, however as good as I THINK my voice can be I dont think that it suits the style of music that I am creating, as my vocal range sits on a bass range of E2 to C4.

My musical knowledge is extensive and my writing process is quick and easy, I need either a talented female singer who can fit into this style comfortably or a prodigy male singer who has a highly versatile and adaptive vocal range, hit me up and lets collaborate.
