About
- I'm a songwriter who wants others to record my songs.
Hello. I go by the name of Wal D. C. I am based out in the Phoenix area Arizona. I write music both instrumentally and lyrically. I am looking for people to both sing and collaborate with. My music is very different in some ways. I like to think of it as a blend of r&b/neo soul and ambient music. I call it "ambient soul." Most of my music I hear as having light feminine vocals. Think Jhene Aiko. Anyways please hit me up and we can work together.

Lyrics
The Exception
Singer-Songwriter
Can't I be the mystery in your life?
Can't I be the exception?
Can't I be the memory
Of everything you’ve ever wanted
Can I be all you’ve ever wanted
Can I be all you’ve ever needed
Can I be more than just the things I said that night
Can make all
All the things I made wrong right
Can I be more
than just a friend
Can I be your woman? Again? (repeat)
2nd verse
Don’t know what came over me
I don’t know
Guess I wanted time on my own
You say the rule is walk away
And its gone
You say that there are no exceptions
But can I be all you’ve ever wanted
Can I be all you’ve ever needed
Can I be more than just the things I said that night
Can make all
All the things I made wrong right
Can I be more
than just a friend
Can I be your woman? Again? (repeat)
bridge
Don’t listen to the past
If they don’t work too bad
But what we had can last
Can last
And one day you will say
When we’re old and gray
What a mystery that we
Did last
I can be the exception
This love can be the exception
We can be the exception
I can be the exception
