Derek O’Steen

I am a 49 year old singer/songwriter who grew up on country but largely influenced by the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s rock, metal and grunge scene. I started off in a rock band in my early 20’s, cut a cd and then walked away when my 1st son was born. I started picking it back up in my later 30’s and feel like my voice, lyric writing and melodies are better than they have ever been. I would really like to find a really talented acoustic guitar player that writes their own music to write songs and do some live stuff every now and then. My real passion is the creation and recording of originals or creative ways to play covers, but I would really love to collaborate with other singer/song writer’s too because I have never had the opportunity to do that. I do have Pro Tools and can do somewhat decent recordings at my house, but just started learning how to do all that during Covid, so I am no pro by any stretch of the [removed] line is I really love to sing and would love to have a chance to do that in as many ways as possible-
