About
I have been writing lyrics and poetry for the past five years, and working with a local musician, Devin Farney, to put them to music. I love to write folk and rock songs, but I am open to all genres. Some of my major poetic influences are Carl Sandburg, Fernando Pessoa, and Jorge Luis Borges. And for lyricists: Jim Croce, Bernie Taupin, and Tupac. A few of my pieces can be found here: https://tylerhousley.com/.
Dreams & ambitions
I prefer to write lyrics with some social/political weight, yet light-hearted. I take my craft seriously, but I am a laid-back person who loves to wrestle with words. I'm here to meet new people and make music. So, let's make it happen! :)
