Lyrics

Silver Hopes And Golden Wishes

Country, Rock

Silver hopes and golden wishes Days are all dark Nights are all grey Seems that my life Just slips away And so I live Inside my head Crying salt tears Alone in my bed. Silver hopes and golden wishes Fill these dreams of mine So I try to drown them In another glass of wine. All night I’m alone Cold in my bed Thoughts of your love Running round my head Could have been better Could have tried some more Could have tried to stop you Going out the door. Silver hopes and golden wishes Fill these dreams of mine So I try to drown them In another glass of wine. Dreams are like kisses They cut and they scar Can’t tell just when You push them too far My dreams have all died Held in your hand My hopes subside to a never never land.
