Matthew Brett

Hi there, my name is Matthew Brett. I am a musician, producer and mix engineer who works in many different styles and genres. I have worked with hundreds of musicians and artists from all around the world and produced songs with over 100k listens on Spotify.

I am British, but live in Turkey! In fact I began my career as a music producer working for a Legendary Turkish Pop Star Soner Sarıkabadayı.

But...
For the last year I have been working independently. Mainly so that I can collaborate and work with people from many different walks of life in different countries.

My primary strength as a producer is that I am highly skilled in multiple areas of music production. I am a multi-instrumentalist with my primary instrument being the electric guitar. I produce mix and master all of my own work. I do not rely on loops and strive for originality in everything I do. My greatest passion is bringing different genres and vibes together within a single song! With that said, I am well versed in the rules and regulations of popular music. For instance I swear by the classic song structure format of Verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse 2, pre-chorus 2, chorus 2, bridge, big final chorus! and use this structure in pretty much everything I do.

I cannot really speak about influences because I do not believe in stylistic influence. I can take inspiration from a rap artist - like one of my absolute favourites Yelawolf, and go and write a metal song with [removed] I can take inspiration from a Weeknd song, like "Blinding Lights" and write something very similar to "Blinding Lights". It all depends on what the song makes me feel.
