About

  • I'm a songwriter looking to collaborate with other like-minded songwriters.
  • I'm a songwriter who wants others to record my songs.
  • I'm a lyricist looking for musicians to write music to my lyrics.
  • I'm a singer who writes songs. I am looking for musicians/composers/producers to help complete my songs.
My name is Sydney Williams and I am a lyricist, singer, songwriter, musician. I am 32 years old and I am blind. I went blind at the age of three from Leukemia. Music has always been in my life. In elementary school I sang in the school choir and when I was 11 I took professional vocal training. As a teenager I took basic guitar lessons and as a young adult I took piano theory to help me with my songwriting. I play the piano and basic guitar. I only know a few cords on the guitar. I write songs and have been doing so for many years. I love writing songs, and I really like writing lyrics. To date I have professionaly recorded two full-length albums and an EP. My favorite genres are rock, alternative rock, indie and Pop. I grew up listening and singing along to such bands as The Cranbberries, Pearl Jam, U2, Elton John, David Bowey, The Spicegirls, to name a fiew. Now a days I listen to bands such as, Snow Patrol, Tool, The Script, Lady Gaga, Pink, and many more.

Dreams & ambitions

My musical goals is to creat beautiful music to share with the world. I want to get my music into film, TV, advertising, video games. As well as any songs I have already recorded I would also like to write songs for film and TV and jingles for comertials. I am a singer who wants to sing professionally on other people's songs. For example: if someone has a song ready for a film or a TV show or an advertisement and so on and needs a female singer and are willing to pay I would be interested in being called. Music is my life and my career and I would like to make the best of it. So I am looking for management to help me achieve my goals.

Equipment

I have a roland piano that I use to write most of my songs. When I am not writing songs on my piano I am writing them on one of my guitars. Either my Grech or my Hagstrum. I don't record at home. I book time at a professional studio for any recordings. However, I can use a small voice recorder to lay down a very basic vocal track to go along with any lyrics I write to give an idea of how they might go in a song. I have a good computer with a screen reading program on it that I use for listening to music and writing lyrics. I use a screen reading program because I am blind and it helps me to be able to navigate around the computer and the internet to an extent.

Lyrics

Summer nights can’t cure this pain in my heart Every time you go away And leave me behind Time after time Oh the fire Of desire It is burning In my heart When you’re around And I don’t know what is up from down anymore The fire within us It is the brand that will lead us home To each other time and time again Oo Beautiful love In my darkest dreams I am crying Because I Am not your equal honey So won’t you show me How to be Good enough for your love Maybe then I Won’t cry anymore The fire within us It is the brand that will lead us home To each other time and time again Oo Beautiful love Come take my hand And we will walk through the fire We may burn to ash But in the end We will rise Like the phoenix did The fire within us It is the brand that will lead us home To each other time and time again The fire within us It is the brand that will leadus home To each other time and time again Oo Beautiful love OO OO OO
