About

I'm a songwriter looking to collaborate with other like-minded songwriters.

I came to songwriting as a poet. Lyrics are paramount, followed by strong melodies and interesting chord structures. In terms of instrumentation and arrangement, I like to stay off beaten paths. I once released an album performed by an impromptu band without any rehearsals in a Korean Buddhist temple hall. UMG Korea offered me a contract; I declined. I find most modern production values boring, most commercially successful music uninspiring, and therefore I have zero interest in competing in the Spotify-type arenas. Weirdness is wonderful, so long as it's not for its own sake. Everything serves the song. I would be delighted just to find a few (at least somewhat) like-minded people with whom to collaborate on structured sonic art without any driving commercial ambitions. Dreams & ambitions

My only dream is to find a few other musical souls to collaborate with. Genuine souls with deeply contrarian tendencies. I intend to stay underground, but it's lonely down here.

Lyrics

Raging

Electronic, Indie, Rock, Folk, Singer-Songwriter

Raging Steady as she goes, a semblance of calm Not wanting to trigger any alarms By the light of a billion crayon suns You smile with your eyes as you think with your guns Pretending to need what is given to us To believe, that the summit of virtue is trust Pretending to bleed when they're taking the piss They'd lock you away, could they only hear this Raging A storm on a jet-black sea Down under the ice of a moon on the shores of the Pleiades Amazing The terror that shines in the dawn Just praying It's not the last thing I ever see before moving on Let children be fed to the gender machine Some billionaire savior will come wash it all clean Well, what could we do, we had taxes to pay And it was all gonna happen, either which way And the past holds a magic we can resurrect And the burdens we've shirked can be buried intact Yet beneath all the crayon color-book bliss Souls would blacken like coals, could they only face this Raging A storm on a jet-black sea Down under the ice of a moon on the shores of the Pleiades Amazing The terror that shines in the dawn Just praying It's not the last thing I ever see before I move on Why is it so hard for them to perceive The clicks of the cogs of the cosmic machine? Comeuppance will come and with nothing they do Can they forestall the payment that's due As light swallows shadow, so does waking sleep With a fury so deep it will strip The dumb smile from each lip so obscene... Raging A storm on a jet-black sea Down under the ice of a moon on the shores of the Pleiades Amazing The terror that shines in the dawn Just praying It's not the last thing I ever see before moving on...
