Lyrics by D-M. C

I feel so empty,
Im hollow,
I Know,
I’ll regret this tomorrow,
I’ve Run out of the time,
That I borrowed,
Run out of wine,
Now I’m drowning
In sorrow,
I miss my best friend,
Without her,
Who do I follow?
I was her shadow,
Without her,
In ashes I wallow
I choke back tears,
Lump in my throat,
I can’t swallow,
Feels like I’m dying,
I feel so broke,
I say I love you,
We both know,
I don’t,
I don’t love anyone
Apart from my dogs,
I can’t see a way out,
I’m lost in red fog,
If I give you this knife,
Will you slit my throat,
When I’m dying and cold,
Would you give me your coat?
If i was dead,
Would you give me life,
If I tried to end it myself,
Would you fight for my life, I feel so empty,
Im hollow,
I Know,
I’ll regret this tomorrow,
I’ve Run out of the time,
That I borrowed,
Run out of wine,
Now I’m drowning
In sorrow,
I miss my best friend,
Without her,
Who do I follow?
I was her shadow,
Without her,
In ashes I wallow
I choke back tears,
Lump in my throat,
I can’t swallow,
Feels like I’m dying,
I feel so broke,
I say I love you,
We both know,
I don’t,
I don’t love anyone
Apart from my dogs,
I can’t see a way out,
I’m lost in red fog,
If I give you this knife,
Will you slit my throat,
When I’m dying and cold,
Would you give me your coat?
If i was dead,
Would you give me life,
If I tried to end it myself,
Would you fight for my life,

More depressing words with no chorus - I have repeated some words from other things I’ve written but they specifically have meaning to me. I wouldn’t reuse them id find a different wording/ metaphor.

Please,
Don't turn on the lights,
I Don't want to see me,
sick at the sight,
everything’s too bright,
I know Something ain't right with me,
Im lost for words,
Baby you got your hands wrapped
Round my throat so tightly
You kill me softly,
And say you love me
I say if you really loved me,
You'd take your hands off me

Beautiful.
It's all about perception,
I can't see clearly,
I'm lost in deception,
Broken and torn up,
Pulled myself in many directions,
Confused by my reflection,
And the idea of perfection

No.
I don’t understand,
I'm hit with rejection,
Wracked with all the guilt,
From my recollection,
got my own collection,
Bad choices I've made,
Walking down the wrong paths,
Wrong roads, going the wrong way,
Made many mistakes,
Feel myself spiralling again,
Focusing all my energy,
on the things I can't change,
So full of rage, and wrapped up In hate
I find sadness in joy ,
Secure when I'm depressed,
Getting lost in the depths,
Drowning, inside my head

I don't feel alive,
But I'm clearly not dead,
So why does my heart
feel so cold in my chest...
It's been that way,
Since you looked me in
the eyes, then you left.
When you said you couldn't do it,
I didn't listen,
I thought I knew you best.
Now I'm obsessed,
With what I've lost,
Fuck life,
If it’s all just a test,
I've failed it

I'm really not lazy,
But I do feel supressed,
Mind gets so hazy,
I shut the world out,
Hit the bottle and pipe,
Hide inside my bed,
I need some sleep,
So I try counting sheep,
Backwards from ten,
Fuck this, it's not working,
put me in the ground,
Lay me to rest

I feel so alone,
I can't get this right,
I need this to end,
I'm too tired to fight,
I took it for granted,
While you held me tight,
I can't do this, no more.
I loved you,
Goodnight.

Just some words, open to collab, a little happier contextually

Maybe pop?

I’m always walking with my head in the clouds,
I try not to fall, I don’t look down,
but if this is real, what we’ve found,
for you I don’t mind breaking,
if I hit the ground

Your eyes are the light in my dark,
feel like, I’ve known you all my life,
You ignite the fire that sparks in my heart - potential chorus beginning?

This is just a bunch of lyrics at the moment - I was just trying to work out my emotions in my head. Open to condensing it and making a song out of it.

I’ve known people,
Who I thought were perfect,
But they didn’t think so,
They didn’t think they were worth it,
But what is perfect?
And if something doesn’t look perfect,
is it even worth it?
I guess the definition depends on if you believe in perfection,
And what worth is, if that isn’t it,
What do we call it when words we can’t define don’t fit?
Like can I call myself a lyricist, poet, or a rap artist, singer, or any type of musician at best,
If I can’t even look in a mirror and say that I’m blessed, because I can write at all,
Or that I was able to get dressed today at all,
Just Because I don’t like what I can see,
Or what I think I can see,
And I know I don’t see clearly,
Because other people who look at me,
Say what they are looking at isn’t what I’m seeing,
Some people think better, some people think worse,
But those thoughts and views, neither, are based in worth,
No, although It’s taken me a long time to know that,
I do know that now and realise,
All the time I wasted learning this,
Wasn’t a waste at all it was a process,
Where I had to fall, get up then watch myself fall again,
Pretending I was perfect and never did any wrong, or that it never happened at all,
Doesn’t mean it didn’t,
It just means I didn’t get it right the first time and I’d be lying to say I did,
And if your reading or hearing this,
Then you’ll be seeing it very differently to me and the next and the next,
Well that doesn’t mean anything either,
Just that we all perceive things with less depth or deeper,
With my hand on my heart I can say,
I didn’t appreciate things that had to hurt me to heal,
I pushed them away, I was impatient,
Consumed by the pain and place I was in,
Exhausted by the stale pace of it,
The realisation that I was at a stale mate with it,
Couldn’t move forward until I stopped being complacent with things,
Careless with others feelings,
Not because i didn’t care about how you were feeling,
I just couldn’t reconcile with the cards I’d been dealing: I dealt with you the way that dealers do,
Smile to your face; you’ve been buying,
Sell you the truth; Ive been lying
Not that any of this has any relevance to your life,
Or what you believe or perceive to be wrong or right,
I thought being diverse, I was able to think on a scale but actually my thoughts were only black or white,

Just a poem at this stage

Sasha and May

Left my heart is Nova Scotia,
I left it there with you,
So when you need me most,
You’ll know what to do,
Follow the sound of beating,
You’ll find it waiting for you,
Down at the seashore,
we used to walk, let it guide you to,
I imagine us running together,
Sand beneath our feet,
And when you leave,
I know my love will bring you back to me

This is definitely a work in progress
I don’t think it can be this bluntly dark lol and it needs choruses, too much and too long. If anyone wants to condense and simplify…

I lay back, and I think,
Sadistic reminice,
Count back the days,
How long, have I been feeling like this?
Ive been lost in red mist,
What lines did I cross,
I didn't see it, but fuck,
I must have slipped off
how much time,
will it take me to get back,
to a sane state of mind

I live in my head
It's a type of hell,
I just can't describe,
when I try to climb out,
I fall back inside
So maybe like Hopsin,
I’m just ill of mind?
I go back to that beast,
Wants my blood in his teeth,
I am never at ease,
With this fucking disease
eats at the heart
Of the human in me

Now sober me,
Has got no release,
I forget how to breathe,
Im losing perception, of reality,
lost weeks of sleep,
maybe it was a dream,
And these pills that I have to take,
They just rattle my cage
all this guilt I can't shake,
sends me in to a rage
it's so bad when it happens,
even i feel afraid

Now how else can I explain this?
I don't want to be like this
Or complicate things,
I need you to know,
I'm trying to fight this
And it pains me to see,
That look on your face,
Tells me you've finally,
realized your mistake,
let me in to your life,
Only to find,
The pain in your back
Is where I Stabbed you,
with your own knife,
And I know you,
you'll want to make this right,
But the Only way out,
Is to turn out my light

I Can't look in the mirror,
Image of a sinner,
the only good thing,
Is that I'm getting thinner,
now I don't recognize,
That monster lookin back at me,
Those black lifeless eyes,
Is that really me?
Am I someone you'd want to avoid
Or am I just plagued with paranoia

I get so angry,
You should get away,
Cos there’s no medication,
That Can fix my brain,
My bodies a mess,
I'm always in pain,
I'm so full of stress,
Buckle under the strain,
I guess I don’t really,
have much to lose,
I hide away,
and if you do see me,
I’ll be Wearing long sleeves
Cos I hate my tattoos

But what if Im right?
And no one believes me,
And what if my fears paralyze me,
All come to life,
And bite me in the night,
Feeling worse with each day,
Really need to sleep some way,
But every time that I try,
To close my eyes,
My chest gets so tight,
And nothing is right,
I try to count sheep,
But that wolf he keeps coming,
Coming at me
he's after me, and while He's watching over,
I can never have peace,

Well This demon, hes heavy
He sits on my shoulder,
Where angels used to be,
back when I was sober,
Is God trippin me up,
Just to laugh at me?
Even if I have to end it,
to Get some relief,
I think I should go,
I think I have to leave

This song could be any of the genres I’ve ticked above
Needs work really open to collab.

Temptress

Lookin omg!
pretty devil in a black dress,
Acting like an Angel,
underneath she’s just a temptress,
I should have stayed at home,
Just kept on gettin stoned,
Should have left that girl alone,
I got so obsessed with you,
I still can’t let you go

she’s the dark side of the moon,
Black roses in full bloom,
match that dress she’s wearing,
there was nothing I could do,
to prevent her happening to me,
Shes a temptress, took my heart of glass, and shattered it, gave it back to me,
that girl she’s so relentless,
Just a beautiful temptress

Now I know when she fell,
I never shoulda caught her,
Put her broken wings back together, taught her how to fly in every kind of weather,
what I didn’t know, was those wings weren’t sent from heaven,
Oh, She burnt me up like paper,
just to fuel her fire,
Well I had to get away,
from that sexy green eyed liar

she’s the dark side of the moon,
Black roses in full bloom,
match that dress she’s wearing,
there was nothing I could do,
To prevent her happening to me,
She’s a temptress, took my heart of glass, shattered it in front of me,
That girl shes so relentless,
And When she tried to bury me,
I know she really meant it

I used to be so scared for you,
You know I really cared for you!
Maybe I wasn’t fair to you,
You didn’t know the half of how I felt for you,
Well now you do, and I still lose sleep,
Over everything you put us through,
I loved you, you pulled me in, played on all my desires,
Now all I feel is fuckin suicidal

Cos she’s the dark side of the moon,
Black roses in full bloom,
match that dress she’s wearing,
Nothing I could do,
To prevent her happening to me,
Shes a temptress, took my heart of glass and shattered it, gave the pieces back to me, that girl shes so relentless,
but i don’t know how to live without my beautiful temptress
