There's a line in there referencing "Buzz's Footprints" which again was inspired from real events. I was lucky enough to ski with Buzz when I was in the PR department of Crested Butte Ski Area. Fascinating man and a true explorer. Columbus and Vasco Da Gama knew they could sail back home again but Buzz and his crew mates had one chance to lift off the moon, if the rocket motors failed to fire up they were destined to watch the Blue Planet for a little while longer and then slowly enter an eternal sleep as their O2 ran out.
